Twitch, the popular game streaming platform, is used by millions of kids to watch their favorite streamers play their favorite games. You'd think it'd be an innocent platform. But thats not the case.
As with any site that gains sufficient popularity, porn stars will often stream on twitch to attract new people to their actual porn site. They'll get as naked as possible, and pose almost constantly in seductive positions, to gain attention.
Kids can be smart about hiding/viewing these channels secretly. Truple is really the best way to monitor twitch, as no other solution aside from random screenshots will really work from what I can think of.
Warning for parents--twitch is not safe for kids, full of sexual content.
I agree, same goes for reddit, unfortunately. I wish these sites allowed enforcing NSFW filter on a device/network level, same as most search engines as google do.
It'd be great if they all did. Even so though, there would still be profit incentives for sexualized content to ride the edge. It seems like every sites definition of sexual content is so bad its ridiculous.
Yeah, I see. But, honestly, google and other search engines filter out sexualized content amazingly good by enforcing SafeSearch, I always failed at finding any sexual content using them on a network/device where SafeSearch is enforced. Also, it's almost impossible to disable SafeSearch without using a VPN/Proxy, and when these are banned too, oh god, it's impossible!
In my country Twitch is not so popular, but any platform that is not monitored can be dangerous for kids, especially when you don't know what will go infront of their eyes seconds later.
TikTok is super popular and is basically brainwashing kids and reducing their attention span to a few seconds. Also half of the things there, if you're not in China, is pure garbage including lots of nude stuff and lustful content. I cannot imagine a good parent would ever allow this to their child, whatever it is...if its unmonitored and you don't know what comes up next...its super bad.
I didn't have that problem growing up, there were only magazines that I could watch from the store porch, nothing more. Now its in your hands all the time, when you put down your phone - its all around you on billboards, cars, radio comercials etc. Times are dificult and require serious parenting(in the right way)

Thanks for this. I as an adult also decided that I need to guard my eyes on Twitch. I've been avoiding getting on the platform entirely for the reason you described.
