It's disappointing to see all of the people on "truple stories" have just stopped sharing their stories. This is a life long addiction. And though at some point it would be nice to not have to have Truple anymore. I don't see that happening. At least in our family. Do I look at it every day. No. But is the accountability of the app going to be in the back of his mind? Yes. I have no doubt Truple is one of the major factors in keeping my husband clean. The other being God. God is the biggest factor. I hope everyone is doing well and has found things that help keep them strong in this!
I'm sorry that you found it disappointing that people have stopped sharing. I was thinking of posting more on here. Inappropriate content is not the only issue, but limiting time on even the good apps and content. I had shared before that I was able to easily bypass the time limits set up with AppBlock, but I recently set up the Lock Me Out app to set time limits, and I have found that it is very difficult or impossible to bypass.

When I say that the Lock Me Out app is difficult to bypass, for me that assumes having the Mobile Device Management software to block some functions including one that can disable software. So the other technique that I discovered that the MDM could not block was one that the Lock Me Out app seemed to block.

Truple is an amazing tool, but it works only if their is already a desire to change/be better. That desire doesn't need to be bullet proof but there needs to be some commitment to it. In those situations it accelerates positive change/growth.

Truple is helpful but not enough on its own for me personally. In addition i use Lock Me Out app to lock myself out of apps and websites that are loopholes for Truple. For me being accountable to other men has been super helpful. I meet with someone weekly and share any sin struggles and also receive encouragement to keep living free by seeing examples of other men that are living free. Also seeking out good material helps as well. Currently going through Katharos by Blaine Bartel which has been encouraging. It is definitely a lifelong battle as you were saying and we need help in so many different ways to live free

Noahklop, would you mind sharing what loopholes you found and how you went about it so I can try to close the gap in this software issue? Not only is my husband into pornography, he also had several online/emotional affairs last Oct-Jan. I need this locked down to be able to rebuild trust again. Thanks.

Hi! So certain movie streaming apps and websites will black out screenshots. It is due to copyright issues and the large movie companies not wanting people to screen record movies. One additional measure i didn't mention in my post is that on the Google play store app I have parental controls on and I put every setting as strict as possible (Apps set to Everyone, Movies set to G, etc). My wife set a pin. This way I am not able to download movie streaming apps that can stream movies which are inappropriate and black out screen shots. I used Lock Me Out to block Galaxy Store as well.

I'm glad you are doing well! We use Google family link to block apps/websites and we have time limits set on it too. That's what's worked the best for app / website control for us
