So we want our kids to be free of all the filth that is out there, but we dont want to out in any effort. Sounds familiar?
This is the reason that parents fool themselves into believing that regular filters do the trick, when they in fact do not. The parent puts on the filter, a one time event, and assumes the filter will do the work on behalf of the parent. I no longer need to check up on anything the kid is looking at as the filter is working for me. Kids will almost always bypass the filter.
Truple works, but it takes a little effort. You need to check the screenshot logs every day or two. This can become tedious for some. I can assure you that this little amount of effort is worth it. If the parent gives up on the frequent checking, the system is useless. Put in that effort. Parenting does not come easy!
Its so great to see parents trying their best to actually do something beneficial for their kids. I have two toddlers(3 and 5) and we never gave them smartphones and plan on going up until school. When they go to school we will have to monitor their devices. Just out of curioucity, do your kids know they are monitored? How did you explain that to them if you did?

100% agree. Filters have never worked well enough. They can help to break some habits (ie, accessing specific sites), but they won't block entire categories of content (ie porn). For some reason people still turn to filters as a primary defense. It blows my mind.
Plus, a filter takes away agency. When you do that you rob them of growth.
Don't be a lazy parent. Thank you for sharing!
